SYNOPSIS:
The remake of a scene from Scorsese's Oscar-winning
film The Departed. Billy meets Costello in his bar late
in the evening, knowing something's up. Costello tells
him that there's a rat in his crew, an informer, and
suspects it's him since he is never around and seems
to avoid Costello and his crew as much as possible.

NOTES:
The assignment was to take a scene from an
Oscar-winning film, and recreate it using your
own style and techniques. We had one day to
build the entire set of the bar, and one day to
shoot the scene.

SYNOPSIS:
The goal of this project was to show two
characters in conflict with one another,
using one continuous take with no cuts
or edits. I wrote this scene based on
two mob bosses, one Irish and one Italian,
having a sit down. Frank wants to call a hit
on one of Carlo's family member, and wants
his OK.

SYNOPSIS:
Tommy, who is an actor trying to break into the
industry, and one night meets Mr. Weissman,
a Hollywood studio executive, at a party. A
young boy manages to crash the party and as
they escort him out he claims that Tommy is his
father. Mr. Weissman befriends both and decides
to reward the boy with a scholarship at a private
academy. This scene picks up the following morning
when Mr. Weissman calls Tommy to set up an
appointment. Now Tommy must pretend he has a
son in order to keep in contact with Mr. Weissman
and make connections in Hollywood.

NOTES:
A set was built in our soundstage to create a living
room with a couch. I wanted the effect of a blue
morning light coming in from a window, and my
cinematographer did a fantastic job of making
this idea come to life.
